Needlework and the Sea

I read with great interest a posting in the current issue of Sampler & Antique Needlework Magazine about a symposium to be presented called “Needlework and the Sea” in conjunction with an exhibit “Needle/Work: Art, Craft, and Industry in a Port City ” at the New Bedford Whaling Museum to be held June 12-15th. After visiting the website to read more about the exhibit, I was also delighted to find a wonderful collection of Antique Samplers for view online in the museum’s collection.
