Focus on Finishing
January 27, 2008 by Melinda
As I make my daily needlework travels around the internet to sites I enjoy and to those occasional new discoveries, I am constantly amazed and delighted by the creativity and goodness of people in the needlework community. I recently came upon the Focus on Finishing website. Many people are already aware of this site, I am sure, but it was a delightful find for me with its generosity of teaching finishing techniques with beautiful photographs and descriptions. Often, it is hit-or-miss when searching the net for advice on how to finish a biscornu or needleroll, for instance. This needlework site provides links to other sites for finishing projects as well as offering online classes. It was a wonderful and delightful find and I, for one, am very thankful for the generosity of those who offer to teach others the art of needlework be it through classes at guilds or shows or through online tutorials. The teaching of needlework to others is an important facet to the needlearts and its continued growth.
