Santa Sighting
December 5, 2007 by Melinda
We have been busy with many holiday activities of late, especially our annual Christmas parade and lighting of the tree on our Village Green in town. It was bitter cold for the lighting of the tree, so we quickly made the rounds to see the holiday dioramas and listened to just some of the songs of the carolers. We headed home to mugs of hot chocolate to warm up.
The parade was very nice with the school marching bands, dancers, children on the decorated floats and a sighting of Santa. My favorites are always the bagpipes, the Clydesdale horses & wagon, and the Aleppo Shriners.
Not many stitching activities for me lately! Our nutcrackers are on display, the tree is trimmed and the decorations are up. Very soon we will start our annual hunt for candy for our gingerbread houses and cookie baking days.
