Apple Bread

Fall is time for apple picking. Here is a favorite recipe of mine for some Apple Bread which you might like to try:
-
1/2 cup butter
-
1 1/4 cups sugar
-
2 eggs
-
2 cups flour
-
2 teaspoons baking powder
-
1 teaspoon cinnamon
-
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
-
1 1/2 cups peeled, grated apple
-
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and beat well.
In a separate bowl, mix together the dry ingredients then add to the creamed mixture.
Fold in the grated apples and walnuts.
Pour into a greased and floured 9″ x 5″ x 2.5″ loaf pan and sprinkle a bit of sugar and cinnamon on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
Cool for 10 minutes in the loaf pan, then turn onto a wire rack to cool.
Great with a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning.

Looks yummy! I’ve sent it to my DH, and I’m going to make him fix it. =)
