Welcome to my blogs new home at The Stitching Thread. I think this format has a cleaner, simpler look and I find that WordPress has many more options available for me once I learn all about it. I’m not completely sure that transferring my previous posts was altogether successful, since some of my photographs did not open up for me and seemed to retain links to my previous blog. I spent some time today re-posting some photos for viewing.
I have the top portion of my honeybee biscornu almost all stitched. I should be able to finish it by tonight. I will begin working on the bottom section tomorrow morning. One of the parameters that I set for myself is using a limited palette of color that can be applied to all of the designs within a set or collection of designs. I do have to triple check myself to ensure that all the symbols and colors are the same throughout on the finished charts and color keys. I am very pleased with the direction that this honeybee series is going in, but it won’t be ready for publication for some time yet.
