Hi Ann,

With both stitching and knitting, I look at it the same way: if I am able to work a few rows, that is a few rows I have completed. They all add up. Last year I began knitting an Aran cable vest for myself and was able to finish it by setting aside a small amount of time each day both after school and a bit more on weekends. It took some time this way, but I eventually got it done. I used plenty of flourescent pink sticky notes to keep my place though!! For needlework, I use a metal board and magnets to keep my place, so I can pick it up or leave it when need be. I love to stay busy with projects of all sorts. Thanks for the post and good luck with your hunt for yarn!

Melinda,
I fiund your new name and site and have noted it on my blog.
My knitting friend Wendy and I are going to a new wool shop next week to look for yarn for my mittens and for a shawl I want to make for my daughter-in-law. I don't know when I am going to knit since I can barely keep up with all my stitching projects but I'll manage somehow. We can always find time to do the things we like I think.
