Finding Time

Summer slips by so quickly. I have not focused on starting any new cross stitch projects just yet. The time will come all too soon when the kids are back in school and I will go back to it full speed.
I did manage to start a rough sketch taken from an illustration that I had done years ago. I thought it might be fun to adapt it and work it into a cross stitch design. I also have a design in the works for a baby birth sampler, but I have not put the time into choosing colors. I didn’t get too far with either project as other things began to crowd in and demand my attention. Fun things like spreading a big blanket under the shady trees and playing charades with my girls or finding time to go to the beach so that they could play in the surf and sand. Of course I speed read Harry Potter as well this past weekend!
I found an online bead company and requested information about some new products that I might consider for future designs. I look forward to receiving that catalog sometime next week. I like to take my time now in researching new products and companies that might come in handy down the road.
